Golf Tournament Committee

As most of you know, the Dave "Hendu" Henderson Midsummer Golf Classic is the main source of revenue for our organization. Without the tournament it would be difficult to enjoy such programs as Camp Primetime, Family Retreats at Great Wolf Lodge, the Parents Retreat, picnics and support scholarships for families. Every one of us receives benefits from this organization that may otherwise be impossible without the Midsummer Classic. While we have incurred immense success through this event for many years now, the majority of the responsibilities of putting it on has often fallen upon a very exclusive group of people (sometimes as few as one person a year). We should all thank Sherri for dedicating countless hours to coordinating and managing an incredibly successful event this year.

That is why the Board as well as other families have joined together to create a more sustainable and effective system for putting on this yearly tournament. A PNWASF Golf Tournament Committee has been created in which a few volunteer members will be responsible for organizing certain aspects of the tournament. The ultimate goal is to put on an event in which there can be further input, a greater use of resources and a better allocation of responsibilities. I am happy to announce that six PNWASF members have volunteered to join the newly formed 2011 PNWASF Golf Tournament Committee. The position titles and related volunteers are as follows...

Please note that we are always looking for help in bringing in donations for the raffle and auction, sponsorships, golfers and volunteers for the day of the event. If any of you are interested in one of these areas, please contact me as soon as possible.
